JMS Students Published

Last fall, as part of the Writers in the Schools program, University of Arkansas graduate students worked with Jacksonville Middle School students and teachers. The goal was to help students gain confidence with written and verbal communication skills and to explore new avenues of self-expression and awareness.

JHS Scholars Score Superior or Excellent

Members of the Jacksonville High School Band competed in the Region 1 Solo and Ensemble competition on April 18. The following JHS scholars brought home Superior or Excellent ratings:

“I am incredibly proud of all our scholars who took on the extra work and time to prepare for this competition,” said Band Director Jon Stevenson. “They worked hard and the evidence is clear with their performances.”

School Board to Meet April 3

The Jacksonville North Pulaski School District Board of Education will conduct its regular monthly meeting Monday, April 3, 2017, 6pm at Jacksonville City Hall located at 1 Municipal Drive in Jacksonville.

JMS Band Receives Excellent Rating

The Jacksonville Middle School Band participated in the Region I Concert Assessment Saturday, March 4. The band received a composite 2-excellent rating both on stage and in sight-reading. This is the highest rating the band has received since 2011. 

All JNP Bands will perform their final concert for the 2016-2017 school year Thursday, May 4, 6:30 PM in the Sandy Reed auditorium.
