JNPSD's master facilities plan is a significant step toward equal facilities for all students. The plan balances available resources with current facilities needs to maximize the District's ability to improve the conditioin of all of its facilities now and into the future. JNPSD will combine its secondary schools into one middle school and one high school.

The plan includes a new high school to be located on the old middle school site on Main Street in Jacksonville--the city's hub. The plan also calls for a new elementary school to replace Arnold Drive and Tolleson elementary schools, utilizing significant resources from the U.S. Department of Defense. The remaining four elementary schools will each receive multipurpose faciliites to extend educational offerings to students.
