Happy AVID Tuesday! Today we are highlighting the work of Ms. Walls, JES AVID Site Coordinator and fourth grade teacher. Ms. Walls exemplifies AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) in her classroom by creating an accepting, engaging culture along with engaging academic work. In these pictures we see this “Perfect Blend” with each student’s individual work celebrated on the walls. This work combines Reading, Writing, Organization, and Inquiry skills. Each scholar created two characters and dialogue using quotation marks. Ms. Walls also shares with her scholars her own educational journey. Great work Ms. Walls and JES!
