junior act

Attention Juniors:

Next spring during a school day you will be taking the ACT test here at JHS. This test is used for college entrance and college scholarships. In an effort to set you up for success on that test, there are some things you need to be aware of.

  1. On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, there will be a Practice ACT test held here at JHS during normal school hours. All Juniors will be assigned a classroom and will take the practice test during the morning on November 30.

  2. This test will be given on paper, and your graded results will be returned to you. This graded test will be a valuable study tool for the spring ACT. If you are absent on November 30, there will not be a make up exam; the only practice ACT will be that Wednesday.

  3. There are free ACT Study Books that you may use and keep available to your parents and you so that you can work together to prepare for this test. To get one, please click the link below and fill out the request. There is a limited supply, so act fast!

  1. After taking the test, and in the afternoon on November 30, the Juniors will be allowed to participate in a Field Day on campus at JHS. Games and other activities will be provided, with more information to be announced later.

  2. During the afternoon of the spring ACT test, you will be allowed to leave campus for the day as long as you meet the following requirements:

    1. You have signed the permission form and have a ride to pick you up, and

    2. You were present for the Practice ACT on November 30, 2022.

Be prepared to come to school for the Practice ACT on November 30, remember that your attendance is required if you would like to leave early on the ACT test day in the spring. Pick up a study book if you would like the extra preparation, and if you have any questions, please email Mr. Williams.

Thanks,

Kevin Williams
