JMS Virtual Students will be onsite the next two Mondays for ACT Aspire Testing. Monday, April 26 will be the Reading, Writing & English Test. The Math & Science tests will be the following Monday, May 3. There will be a reward time on both Mondays for all the students who come to school with Chromebooks charged and who are fully engaged during the testing times. Students can bring money for concessions that will be available during these rewards. Students also need to make final purchases from the Titan Store so they can pick them up while on campus those days. Please remind your scholars to get to bed early the night before and come to school with chromebooks fully charged the next two Mondays and ready to rock the ACT Aspire. Thank you!

Hello Titan Family, Next Week, April 26th-30th, JMS scholars will take the ACT Aspire tests. Our scholars are ready to show what they know! All scholars will need to bring their school issued Chromebook and charger to take the ACT Aspire. If your Chromebook is damaged or disabled, please contact the school immediately, so that we can work to solve the issue before April 26. A few testing reminders: No cell phones, smart watches, or other electronic devices are allowed in the testing environment. Please leave these devices at home, if possible. Scholars that bring these devices to school will be required to relinquish the device during the testing sessions. It is extremely important that your scholars attend their scheduled test sessions. Please contact the school ASAP if your scholar will not be able to attend, so that we can plan a make up test. Make up testing for all students will be held on May 4-7. Ms. Higginbotham will contact parents/guardians of virtual scholars to schedule make-up tests. Virtual Scholars All scholars will need to report to campus for testing. Please review the testing schedule below for your virtual scholar. Scholars must wear a mask and be screened prior to entering the building. Virtual scholars will test separately from the rest of the student body. To ensure safety, they will only interact with their 1st period teacher and classmates. Classrooms will be socially distanced as much as possible. Testing Schedule: Monday, April 26th- 8:30 a.m. thru 2:00 p.m. Virtual scholars will test with their 1st period teacher, unless they have an IEP or 504 that mandates small group setting. School staff will be available to direct students to classrooms. Virtual scholars will take the Reading, Writing, and English tests. Students must arrive no later than 8:30 am. Tuesday, April 27 - Thursday, April 29- 8:30 a.m.- 3:00p.m.: Face to Face students will test while Virtual scholars complete assignments posted in Google Classroom. Monday, May 3: Virtual scholars will test with their 1st period teacher. School staff will be available to direct students to classrooms. Virtual scholars will take the Math and Science tests. Please do not bring a calculator from home. Scholars will be issued an approved calculator for the assessment. Students must arrive no later than 8:30 am. Testing will begin at 8:45 am.
