What do most students do when they return to school after break?
The JMS Advanced Choir performed at the Jacksonville Senior & Wellness Activity Center to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of their dear residents. It was such a wonderful celebration!

All JNPSD schools will reopen on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

All JNPSD schools will be closed on Monday, January 13, 2025 due to winter weather. Offices and departments will be open.

A new reading program called “Beanstack” that is being implemented at JMS is making a big impact on scholars by creating an eagerness to read. Beanstack is a reading platform that offers special incentives/small prizes for completing different reading challenges throughout the course of the year. Shown in the photos below are 6th & 8th grade scholars from Mrs. Gates’ English Language Arts classes. These scholars earned a fun Robotics/Makerspace Day for meeting their Beanstack reading goals. Special thanks to Mrs. Killingsworth for introducing scholars and staff to the Beanstack program so that the love of reading can continue to flourish at JMS! #readersareleaders

Hello Titan Family! Tomorrow is a district wide spirit day: Winter Wonderland! Scholars are encouraged to wear holiday sweaters, scarves, anything that sparkles and shines like the holidays.
*A special note, dress code must still be enforced, no holiday pajamas.* Let's have a great holiday!

The JMS Advanced Choir had the privilege of entertaining residents at Willowgrove Nursing Home and Woodland Hills Rehab Center. After sharing their holiday songs, they sang carols and distributed sweets to the residents.

No after school tutoring this week.

Here are a few highlights from the JMS Choir Concert on December 10, which featured our 6th grade, Intermediate and Advanced Choirs. We also had a guest performance by the JHS Advanced Choir. Thank you to the packed audience for supporting our musical scholars!

Congratulations to our JMS scholars that made All Region Band!

Our JMS Piano Lab Scholars performed their individual holiday songs for residents at Sherwood Nursing Center on Thursday, December 12. They provided beautiful music, festive cheer, and candy canes to the residents.

The JMS 6th Grade Choir had the honor of singing for the mayor at City Hall on Friday, December 13. They were also able to spread some holiday cheer at the Jacksonville Care Center.
