SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 


AACIA GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Curriculum & Instruction Administrators is accepting applications for one scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to an individual in a graduate program focusing on Curriculum Administration. The application can be found here and must be submitted by May 5, 2023.

AACIA GRADUATING SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Curriculum & Instruction Administrators is accepting applications for one scholarship for $1,000 to a graduating high school senior that is pursuing a degree in education. The application can be found here and must be submitted by February 17, 2023.

AACTEA SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators (AACTEA) is offering two scholarships to high school seniors to supplement education costs during their freshman year. The scholarship awards are $500.00 each and will be awarded to full-time or part-time students who enroll in an Arkansas college or university, including junior colleges, community colleges, and vocational/technical colleges.

Eligibility requirements included:

  • Concentrator or Completer status on at least one Program of Study

  • Having a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale

  • Exhibiting a good citizenship record with no suspensions or expulsions

  • Attempted or achieved an industry certification (ex CRC, OSHA, MTA)

  • Planning to major in a demand occupation (listed on Discover Arkansas)

AAESP GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Elementary School Principals is accepting applications for one scholarship in the amount of $500 to an individual in a graduate program focusing on Elementary Administration. The application can be found here and must be submitted by April 1, 2023.

AAESP GRADUATING SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Elementary School Principals will award one scholarship to a student of an AAEA member pursuing the field of education. The total amount awarded to the recipient of the scholarship is $500.  The application can be found here and must be submitted by April 1, 2023.

AAFC SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Federal Coordinators (AAFC) awards the AAFC Scholarship to high school seniors of AAFC members to supplement college costs beginning their freshman year. This scholarship award is $1,000 for the first Academic Year, and will be awarded to full-time students who enroll in an Arkansas College or University, including junior colleges, community and vocational or technical colleges, and plan to major in education. The application can be found here and must be submitted by January 9, 2023.

AAGEA SCHOLARSHIP

Are you currently working on your graduate degree in gifted education and administration? The Arkansas Association of Gifted Education Administrators is currently accepting scholarship applications for individuals pursing their graduate degree in gifted education and administration or related fields. Two scholarship awards will be presented during the AAEA Summer Conference in Little Rock, AR in August. 

The application can be found here and must be postmarked by March 10, 2023.

AAMLA SCHOLARSHIP

Up to two scholarships will be awarded for graduate study related to Educational Administration or other related fields in Educational Leadership.

The total amount awarded to the recipient(s) of the scholarship(s) is the cost of graduate hours including tuition and associated fees totaling up to, but not to exceed $1,500.  If two scholarships are awarded, the amount per recipient would not exceed $750. The application can be found here and must be submitted by May 1, 2023.

AASBO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The 2022 AASBO Scholarship application is now available. Graduating seniors who are sons/daughters/legal dependents of AASBO members are eligible to apply.

AASEA LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP

AASEA Legacy Scholarship applicants should have a family member who is a member of AASEA.

Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate Junior, Senior, or graduate study in fields related to the delivery of services to children with special needs and/or to those who have a disability for which he or she has received services. Consideration will be given for the areas of K-12 Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Special Education Supervision and Administration or other related fields at the AASEA Scholarship committee’s discretion. Consideration will be given to persons employed or planning to be employed by school districts or educational cooperatives in Arkansas.

AASSP SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas Association of Secondary School Principals will award one scholarship to a student of an AAEA member pursuing the field of education. The total amount awarded to the recipient of the scholarship is $1,000.  The application can be found here and must be submitted by May 1, 2023.

ASPMA SCHOLARSHIP

The Arkansas School Plant Management Association (ASPMA) seeks to promote the continuation of education by offering scholarships to students in search of a vocational, associate or bachelor’s degree.

Any graduating high school senior is eligible to apply for a scholarship. A total of $10,000 is budgeted for this program for individuals based on the selection criteria. The scholarship amount given to any one student is at the discretion of the scholarship committee but this amount shall not exceed $5,000. Awarded scholarships are eligible for renewal if funds are available. The scholarship payment shall be made directly to the student to assist them with their educational expenses.

C.B. GARRISON SCHOLARSHIP

For twenty-seven years, Mass Group Marketing of Richardson, Texas and the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators have awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a son or daughter of an AAEA member. John Beesley, Founder of Mass Group Marketing, established the scholarship in honor of Dr. C. B. Garrison, former Superintendent of the Fort Smith Public Schools.

Selection is based on academic excellence, leadership in school activities, work experiences and community service. The application and additional information is available in January.

DR. KELLAR F. NOGGLE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

Dr. Kellar Noggle served as the Executive Director of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators from 1976-2005. Prior to 1976, Dr. Noggle contributed 15 years of educational service to the children of Arkansas.

As a tribute to Dr. Noggle's outstanding leadership and to honor his long-standing relationship with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, an endowed scholarship was established in his name.

GARY L. KEES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

For 49 years, Gary L. Kees was dedicated to improving the public education system in the state of Arkansas. As a tribute to Mr. Kees' outstanding leadership and to honor his long-standing relationship with the AEAA and Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative, an endowed scholarship was established in his name.

Graduating seniors at an Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative (ARESC)-member school who intend to pursue a career in public education are encouraged to apply for the $2500 scholarship.

THE NATIONAL SCHOOL PLANT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (NSPMA) - SCHOLARSHIP 

The National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing a Technical/ Trade Certification, Associates or Bachelor of Facilities / Engineering degree.

Any graduating high school senior, college freshman, sophomore, or junior is eligible to apply for a scholarship.  The total number of scholarship awards is based on available funding capabilities of the NSPMA Scholarship Trust Fund.  Awards are based on the selection criteria of:  financial need, academic achievement, co-curricular participation, community service, and essay response. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Scholarship applications are now closed.  Winners will be announced in March.
